Last Fall I missed out on apple picking because the season is so short in the south. I wasn’t about to let that happen again, so over Labor Day Weekend MPR, Rufio and I headed down to Windy Hill Orchard & Cider Mill in York, SC.

Friday vibes: September 2
Hurricane Hermine has landed! Luckily we are about three hours inland so we don’t need to worry much about damage, but my weather app does show constant rain for the next 24 hours. I was originally hoping to soak up the last of summer this weekend and maybe get in one more pool day, but… Continue reading Friday vibes: September 2

I often think of that old saying, “if you can’t change your location, change your hair color.” I can’t remember where I first heard it – probably in a fashion magazine growing up – but in 2015 I knew that my yearning for change could not be satisfied with new tresses. I was stalled in… Continue reading How changing my location changed my life

Back to school: Continuing education post-college
If you’re like me, you get a little nostalgic this time of year seeing all of the “Back to School” ads and photos of college students moving into their dorms for the fall semester. College was a blast – not only because I made some of my best friends and best memories there, but because… Continue reading Back to school: Continuing education post-college
